If your expectations are not too high you will like this item. The best part is the telephoto lens. I did a test in Photoshop and determined that the telephoto lens gives you almost 150% of the normal image. The resolution is not quite as sharp as the camera lens, but quite adequate for posting to web pages (which is what I do) or printing out on your home printer. I would not recommend the lens for high res print work but then if you were doing that you would be buying more expensive equipment to start with. I took the lens to Alaska and crossed my fingers as I didn't have time to test it out beforehand. With the combination of the 8.0 pixel camera and this lens I was able to get some pretty good wildlife shots by the time I tweaked the images in Photoshop. I have not had the need to use the wide angle lens as much. It does create dark shadows at the edges but I get around this with the clone stamp in good old Photoshop so for me it's not a problem. The little tripod is cute and useful. And the cleaning materials are useful too. I thought this was a fair deal for $30, but I wouldn't pay more.
